Where Are These Paintings Now?
During the 1950's and 1960's, Hermia had several summer art shows at Elvira's Art Emporium on West 10th Avenue and in a friend's backyard at 12th and Sasamat in Vancouver. Numerous paintings were sold and we are unaware who purchased them or whether they have been passed on to a relative or friend. Some may have ended up in garage sales when a family downsized their belongings.
Hermia sometimes photographed the painting or sketch when she sold it. If you have a Hermia painting and it is not in the website gallery, we would like to include a colour photograph of it, as part of her life's work. The owner's permission would be acknowledged with a note that the piece is in their collection.
